1) Find an ad that you would like to analyze (include the ad in your post!).
2) Using the Carrol article to help you, outline a rhetorical analysis of the ad. Explain what rhetorical appeals are being used (ethos, logos, pathos) and explain the rhetorical context (exigence, audience and possible restraints).
3) Explain whether you found the appeals effective given the context (i.e. why–or why not–would this persuade you?)
4) Comment on at least one other student’s analysis, discussing whether they were thorough and what “gaps” they might want to address, if needed.
